They're Dragons! And They're Playing Poker!
It was a cold January afternoon. I grabbed the mail out of the box with an awkward fist. What fell out of my grasp made me freeze with awe.
It was a postcard-sized ad for an exclusive, limited run collection of poker-playing dragons. Let me say that again. Poker. Playing. Dragons.
Not since the anthropomorphizing of dogs has the game of poker come under such brilliant reinterpretation.
Not only are these mythical creatures playing poker, but the ad tells you that one can display them individually or as a set. Which, I can only assume, is to allow you to morph a character into Solitaire Dragon or Freecell Dragon.
I recycled the rest of the postal ads, but kept this one out. I keep finding myself staring at in the same frozen stupor. It's like they took a ball of bad-ass and sculpted it into pure awesome.
